The BSI should now send a signal to the ECU via the CAN bus (9000A, 9001A) and ask for permission to engage the AC compressor clutch.
i have a citroen berlingo van and the engine light is on sometimes it will go out then come on . when it is out the vehicle runs great but when it is on it runs beloew 3000rpm with loss of power this is termed as limp mode what can the problem b i have had it checked with a obd scanner but thay cant tell me what the problem is thay say it may b electrical or the egr valvr or the glow plug

Sensor on its own is about same cost as quoted above (~£20 or so) housing with thermostat and sensor complete isn't much more.

I have a 2011 berlingo 1.6hdi first problem I had was warning of particle filter clogging which is strange as my mileage is 75% motorway. It was due a timing belt so when it was in the garage I had the mechanic check the pat fluid and it was all topped up and some dpf cleaner put through the system.

Reputation: 34. #6. 02-01-2020, 11:00 AM. ECO Mode may be an indicator of low battery voltage. You can get the battery checked for free at Halfords and probably other places too, or it's easy enough with a multi meter. If the voltage is low, it may cause a problem with the starter solenoid.
